THE UNIVERSITY OF TUZLA PROMOTED 12 DOCTORS OF SCIENCE

On July 20, 2020, the University of Tuzla promoted 12 Doctors of Science which defended their Doctoral Dissertations at the faculties of the University of Tuzla.

The Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Diploma was opened by the Rector of the University of Tuzla Nermina Hadžigrahić, PhD speaking about the importance of marking one of the most significant achievements  in scientific improvement, and the significance of such promotions for the University of Tuzla.

 

 

 

 

On behalf of the Tuzla Canton Government, Prime Minister Denijal Tulumović, PhD addressed as well:
"There is no need to additionally emphasize the importance of this resource. We, as the Tuzla Canton Government, recognized this and gave full support to the University in Tuzla. We have coordinated our Cantonal Law with the Framework Law and thus the University has restored academic autonomy. This showed our attitude towards higher education.“

"By acquiring your PhD, you join the club of researchers and researchers with the highest scientific knowledge as a confirmation of your commitment to independent search. It is in that light that we expect each of you to contribute to the development of the social, academic and scientific community in your own way, within your scientific fields and broad education," concluded Prime Minister Tulumović.

During the ceremony, promoted Doctors of  Science were introduced by the Deans of the Faculties. Deans presented  biographical data, scientific and professional work of each candidate as  well as the doctoral dissertations and the contribution of doctoral  dissertations to the science.  After that, the Rector Nermina Hadžigrahić, PhD awarded Doctoral Diplomas to the promoted Doctors of Science.

 

 

 

On behalf of the promoted Doctors of Sciences, Hurma Begić Jahić addressed to everyone.

Selma Azabagić, PhD
Nermina Rizvanović, PhD
Maida Jahić, PhD
Boro Ninić, PhD
Ahmet Sinanagić, PhD
Hurma Begić Jahić, PhD
Mirnesa Zohorović, PhD
Bahrudin Hadžiefendić, PhD
Alen Mešanović, PhD

The aria "Quando m'en vo" from the opera Bohemia, by Giacomo Puccini, was performed by soprano Milica Damjanac from Banja Luka. 

Candidates Miloš llić, PhD, Amra Šakušić, PhD, Erna Delić, PhD did not attend the promotion and will be promoted at the next  Ceremonial Conferment of the Doctoral Diploma of the University of Tuzla.
