On Thursday, December 14, 2017, as part of the 41 anniversary of the University of Tuzla, it was held a Promotion of the Doctor of Science, Full Professors and the Award of the Golden Plaque to the students of the University of Tuzla.

Rector of the University of Tuzla Professor Nermina Hadžigrahić pointed out that she expects from the University not only to educate, but to explore, seek solutions, suggests and moves forward.
‘The University is not just a classroom or a lab. The University is the place for meeting, critical thinking, freedom, integral personalities. The university is a forum, a public communication area, a space for confronting arguments, debates, dialogues, polilogy, crystallization of different opinions’ said Rector Hadžigrahić.

The Golden Plaque of the Student of the Generation of the University of Tuzla was awarded to six students who had completed the study with the highest total average grade at the University of Tuzla of 9.50 and who graduated by the end of the current academic year:


1.        Ajša Ibrahimović -  Faculty of Law, average grade 9.91.
2.        Emina Jukan -  Faculty of Law, average grade 9.91.
3.        Anis Terzić -  Faculty of Medicine, average grade 9.91.
4.        Adnan Ibrić - Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, average grade 9.88.
5.        Andrej Simić - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, average grade 9.77.
6.        Amila Brčaninović - Faculty of Electrical Engineering,  average grade 9.75.


Rector Hadžigrahić said that she is proud on students that graduated with the highest grade and she added that public universities are facing a number of challenges, and that we need to use young people so that universities move forward towards a new way. ‘These young people are our hope for the future and we will try to include them more in scientific research and teaching in the following period,’ said Rector Hadžigrahić.

In the artistic part of the program, the composition "Romanian Dances and Stance" by Bela Bartok was performed by the Arina Behlilović, violin student of the first class, in the class of Professor Jasmina Šehanović and Iman Joldić piano student of the third class, in the class of Professor Tatjana Todorović Jurić, from Secondary Musical School Tuzla.
