Rector Hadžigrahić in Uzbekistan presented the tourism potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Rector of the University of Tuzla Nermina Hadžigrahić was a guest at a two-day international scientific and practical conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, entitled “The Renaissance of the Pilgrim Tourism in the Crossroads of the Great Silk Road”.

Conference was organized last week by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with Samarkand State University and “Silk Road” International University and it gathered great number of renowned professors, scientists, researchers and experts from France, China, Poland, Kazakhstan, Italy, Russia, Malaysia and Uzbekistan.

Rector Hadžigrahić presented the University in Tuzla, especially study programs “Management in Tourism” at the Faculty of Economics and “Tourismology” at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of University of Tuzla.

During the conference a Cooperation Agreement was signed with state universities in Samarkand and different forms of cooperation were discussed, including professor and student study visits.

During the conference, the Agreement on Cooperation with State Universities in Samarkand was also signed, and various aspects of cooperation, including study visits by students and teachers, were discussed.

Conference participants had the opportunity to attend panels on the theoretical and methodological problems of pilgrimage tourism, international experience in the management of pilgrimage tourism, culture and architecture as a reflection of cultural growth in Central Asia and on Central Asia as a cradle of advanced Islamic science cradle.
