Professors of the Faculty of Technology, of the University of Tuzla, visited the Pamukkale University in Turkey in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme "Staff Mobility For Teaching" and "9th International Staff Week''

Professor of the Faculty of Technology, University of Tuzla, Elvis Ahmetović, PhD, Full Professor and Jasmin Suljagić, PhD, Associate Professor made an official trip to Pamukkale University (Denizli, Turkey) and actively participated in the "Erasmus + program "Staff Mobility for Teaching "and" PAU 9th International Staff Week ", held from 1 to 5 April 2019 at Pamukkale University.


At the aforementioned institution (Pamukkale University), Professor Elvis Ahmetović held a lecture at the "Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering" entitled "Simulation, optimisation and heat integration of single and multiple-effect evaporation plants" where he introduced students and colleagues with the processes of evaporation, simulation, optimization and heat integration process, previous researches and future guidelines of research in this area. After the lecture, Professor Ahmetovic held an interactive workshop in which students actively participated and the aim of this workshop was to introduce students with the computer-assisted tools for modelling and process optimization, and solving optimization problems. Also, on the same institution, Professor Jasmin Suljagic held a lecture to the students of the second and third cycle in the framework of the course entitled Organic chemistry. The lectures were designed on the topic of the modern synthesis and application of palladium in organic chemistry for the creation of carbon - carbon bonds (Palladium in Organic Synthesis). Also, the lecture was attended by professors from the Department of Chemistry.

In addition to these lectures, professors had the opportunity to present University of Tuzla to the colleagues and students and also to present Faculty of Technology and VI International scientific-professional symposium entitled "Environmental resources, sustainable development and food production-OPORPH 2019", which will be held 14 and 15 November 2019 at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Tuzla.

Most likely a few colleagues and students from the Pamukkale University will participate at the symposium.


During their stay they talked about the possibilities of expanding our cooperation in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and other programmes. They agreed a co-operation in the framework of Mevlana exchange programme with Pamukkale University which will create new opportunities for future co-operation and mutual mobility of teachers, staff and students.


In addition to organized activities in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, there were organized and social activities where they had the opportunity to hang out and also visit some of the important cultural and historical sights in Denizli.
