It is an honour to inform you that  Dr. Amela Jusić, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Tuzla is awarded with prestigious Marie Curie Individual Fellowship for 2019.

Dr. Amela Jusić will spend two years at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) u Luksemburguin Luxembourg with the aim of implementing a project called 'The function and biomarker potential of mitochondrial microRNAs in hypertension (MITO)’ under the mentorship of a Dr. Yvana Devauxa, Head of the cardiovascular research group at LIH. This program will also involve the best experts from three partner institutions: Roskilde University, Denmark, PhyMedExp (Physiologie er medecine experimentale dr coeur et des muscles), University of Montpellier, France, and the Department of Translational Research, CHFC, University Clinic Würzburg, Germany.

The significance of the Marie Curie Actions program reflects in the fact that nine Nobel prize winners have been awarded with this scholarship. Marie Curie Fellowships are awarded by the European Commission to support researchers at all career levels, regardless of age or nationality.

9875 candidates from different countries from all over the world applied for this prestigious scholarship in 2019. Project of Dr. Jusić and Dr. Devaux is rated with almost a maximum rating (98.2% /100).
