Representatives of the United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, Elizabeta Delalić, Jen MacArthur, Barry Simpson and Colin Vandergraaf, visited the University of Tuzla, where they held a meeting with the Rector of the University of Tuzla Nermina Hadžigrahić, PhD, and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Nihada Delibegović Džanić, PhD.

Rector of the University of Tuzla, welcomed the guests and briefly presented the University of Tuzla and spoke about the support and programs of the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.


At the end of the meeting, they expressed the hope that successful cooperation between the University of Tuzla and the U.S. Embassy in BiH continues in the following period through joint projects.


One of the projects supported by the U.S. Embassy is the fifth international conference TETA. This year's theme of the conference is ‘Reflect, Reshape, Refresh’, and will be held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Tuzla on 14 and 15 June 2019.


The conference is organized by the Association of English Language Professors of Tuzla Canton in cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Department of English Language and Literature, the United States Embassy in Sarajevo and the Pedagogical Institute of Tuzla Canton.


This conference aims to promote a continuous professional development of the English language professor. The opening of the conference is scheduled for 14 June at 16.00 am in the amphitheatre A2 of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, followed by the first plenary lecture by Damir Imamović entitled ‘Can Traditional Music Be Socially Progressive ?!’
