On 20 December 2019, University of Tuzla awarded doctoral degrees to 15 Doctors of Sciences who defended a doctoral dissertation at the faculties.

Solemn ceremony of promoting Doctors of sciences was opened by the Rector of the University of Tuzla, Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić, who spoke about the importance of marking one of the most significant successes in the professional development, as well as the importance of promotion for the University in Tuzla.

'Every time we promote Doctors of Science we are especially happy. Each of them will give their contribution to the place they work or to the University of Tuzla, which remains their home in which they are always welcome. New potentials are introduced into the world of science, the  academic community becomes more powerful and richer, and even though today's day is significant for every colleague who will receive a  diploma today, the significance for the University is even greater. Our doctors, who will be awarded with diplomas today will participate in the process of creating new values,‘ said Rector Hadžigrahić.

Minister for Education and Science of Tuzla Canton Fahreta Brašnjić addressed to the audience on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Government of Tuzla Canton.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the academic hymn Gaudeamus was  performed by the soprano singer Dženana Huseinagić accompanied by  Nudžejma Huseinagić on the piano, and the composition Waltz No. 8 by Agustin Barrios, performed on guitar by a student Edmir Begović in the class of professor Elvis from Čestimir Mirko Dušek Secondary Music School,


 

During the solemn ceremony promoted Doctors of Science were presented by the Deans and Vice deans of the faculties who spoke about each candidate and their scientific and professional work and doctoral theses and contribution to the doctoral dissertation science. Rector of the University of Tuzla Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić awarded Doctoral degree to promoted Doctors of Science.
